Not sure why the problem has "moved", but it does seem to be close. The problem is repeatable and will happen pretty much at the same spot.

As I was reading the forum on the various reasons for crashing, the physics/LOD crash appears to be what is causing the issue. I even uninstalled the game and deleted all files then re-downloaded everything. I kind of figured that would happen, but it was worth a shot. That didn't work as the save was messed up. I tried to go into the area and create a new save then re-enabled the mod. I disabled the mods and was able to access the areas that have been causing issues. Unless you count my days playing Fallout 1 and 2. Actually haven't played Fallout on PC ever to be honest. Hadn't even installed Fallout 4 on this PC yet. I've even tried deleting and reinstalling the game and mods. Maybe if it does, I'll be able to go back. For now, it isn't a huge issue as the Sim Settlement quest line hasn't sent me to the castle. I've tried going into the castle as many different ways as I can think of, but each time it just flat out crashes.

Obviously that flat out breaks the game so I can't use that as a long term solution. I don't have a ton of mods and I know it is a mod issue as if I take the mod off, I can go right into the castle no issue. I was able to go in and out of DC to talk to The Ron. For now, I'm going to continue to work through the Sim Settlements questline. At the beginning of the game, it was Abernathy Farm. It is definitely a cell issue, but the cell seems to move around. I've ran into the same issue with using either Vortex to load everything up or going through Fallout 4 mod's engine. Then console this: coc diamondcityext (walk away and come back to get Piper started)Īfter Danny opens the gate run inside and see if you can enter without a crash.Sure, so it is the following (and loaded into this order): The easiest way to tell is start a new game after swapping the load order. Common sense says it is a problem with two mods modifying the cells.Īll cells changes are permanently baked into a save which is why you can not undo them. The OP listed five mods and he wants to know which are causing a CTD. Why did you not give him your load order for the mods? I mean if you can not give a useful suggestion to help then maybe ya ought to quit bashing suggestions people make while trying to help. Of course you did not stop to think about that, did you? If he used a different load order than you for them he could have the issue while you do not. I highly doubt that those are the problem as I have been using both for a long long time and never had any sort of problem. Removing the mods is not going to restore the texture and cell damage. One breaks the precombines and the other rewrites the cells. You have TWO mods fighting to change the same cells. Originally posted by Bored Peon:That is your conflict.
